Live from Cesar Chavez!

A program to showcase literature, visual arts and entertainment kicks off Friday when University of the Pacific professor Amy Smith visits Cesar Chavez Central Library, located at 605 N. El Dorado St. in Stockton, to discuss her recent book, “All Roads Lead to Austen.” The book is a memoir of Smith’s trip to six Spanish-language countries, where she shared her passion for Jane Austen with other readers.

Live from Cesar Chavez! was the brainchild of Library and Literacy Foundation board member Mas’ood Cajee, who learned of a similarly successful program in New York City.
